J. John Anderholt

John Anderholt’s practice focuses on all aspects of real estate law; land use; entity formation; corporate governance issues; mergers & acquisitions; asset protection, including wills and trusts; and general business law.

As a Coachella Valley native, John returned to the Desert after graduating from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He began his legal career as an associate at Anderholt & Turner, LLP in 1999 and became a partner in 2003. John has been the managing partner of Anderholt Evans LLP ( previously Anderholt Whittaker LLP) since 2010.

John represents a wide range of business and individual clients throughout the Coachella Valley. From 2003 until 2012, John served as general counsel to one of the nation’s most successful nutraceutical companies, where he advised the board on all matters of corporate governance; financing; representing the company before taxing authorities and other governmental regulatory agencies; negotiating and preparing complex leases, licensing and co-packing agreements, supply and joint venture agreements; and managing, coordinating and overseeing all corporate litigation, including complex securities litigation, trademark infringement lawsuits and class-actions.

John’s real estate practice focuses on land acquisition and development work, guiding his clients through the negotiation, drafting, and due diligence of real property purchases and development projects.

John is also a licensed Real Estate Broker and lives in Indian Wells with his wife and two sons.

Robert J. Evans

After more than twenty years as an entrepreneur and restaurant owner in Southern California, Robert was inspired to follow his passion for the law.  In 2007, after being a plaintiff in a class-action suit with more than 3,000 California restaurants that successfully earned a multi-million dollar summary judgment against a national credit card rewards provider, Robert followed in the footsteps of his father, an attorney specializing in commercial banking and litigation.

During law school, Robert interned as a full-time law clerk for Schorr Law Corporation, a boutique real estate litigation firm in West Los Angeles.  Following his admission to the California Bar, Robert began a small business litigation and transactional practice in Los Angeles while also engaging in contract work for several other litigation firms, including Schorr Law and the class-action specialist Tostrud Law Group, P.C., in Century City.

Robert has been a guest lecturer for Law Seminars International; along with a panel of distinguished attorneys presenting a seminar on “Negotiating Common Area and Maintenance Fees in Commercial Leases” attended by landlords, property managers and attorneys throughout the United States.     

Since joining Anderholt Evans LLP, (previously, Anderholt Whittaker LLP) Robert has represented individuals and business owners in a wide range of matters including: trust formation, probate litigation, entity formations, real estate litigation, partition actions, nuisance claims, easements disputes, subterranean water leakage, and complex commercial litigation involving court-appointed receivers, and collateral bankruptcy proceedings.  In 2013,

Robert is also a ‘Director Emeritus’ of the California Restaurant Association having served 13 years on the Board of Directors, and with more than 20 years of practical business and civic experience that he brings to the practice of law and Anderholt Evans LLP.
