After more than twenty years as an entrepreneur and restaurant owner in Southern California, Robert was inspired to follow his passion for the law. In 2007, after being a plaintiff in a class-action suit with more than 3,000 California restaurants that successfully earned a multi-million dollar summary judgment against a national credit card rewards provider, Robert followed in the footsteps of his father, an attorney specializing in commercial banking and litigation.
During law school, Robert interned as a full-time law clerk for Schorr Law Corporation, a boutique real estate litigation firm in West Los Angeles. Following his admission to the California Bar, Robert began a small business litigation and transactional practice in Los Angeles while also engaging in contract work for several other litigation firms, including Schorr Law and the class-action specialist Tostrud Law Group, P.C., in Century City.
Robert has been a guest lecturer for Law Seminars International; along with a panel of distinguished attorneys presenting a seminar on “Negotiating Common Area and Maintenance Fees in Commercial Leases” attended by landlords, property managers and attorneys throughout the United States.
Since joining Anderholt Evans LLP, (previously, Anderholt Whittaker LLP) Robert has represented individuals and business owners in a wide range of matters including: trust formation, probate litigation, entity formations, real estate litigation, partition actions, nuisance claims, easements disputes, subterranean water leakage, and complex commercial litigation involving court-appointed receivers, and collateral bankruptcy proceedings. In 2013,
Robert is also a ‘Director Emeritus’ of the California Restaurant Association having served 13 years on the Board of Directors, and with more than 20 years of practical business and civic experience that he brings to the practice of law and Anderholt Evans LLP.
